Rowing for Life - a new event in our outreach program which pairs masters rowers with youth rowers. The winning team's prize goes to the youth team.

Last year, 2016, Sarasota Scullers Youth Rowing Club won the $1,000 Rowing for Life prize by placing first with four masters rowers paired with four varsity rowers. Second place team was Gainesville Area Rowing Club, also taking home a check for $1,000.

Veterans Race

Watch for more information for this new event. Each boat a compilation of rowers from the same service, racing together for a common goal. "Grip It and Rip It!" First boat across the line wins. No handicap. Each participant receives a commemorative medal. For more information, contact Joe Dobson

Sarasota Invitational Regatta

The 8th annual Sarasota Invitational Regatta (SIR) launches the spring regatta season at the Nathan Benderson Park, site of the 2017 World Rowing Championships.

This two-day premier regatta, to be held February 25 and 26, 2017 attracts more than 1500 athletes and spectators from all around the country.

Nathan Benderson Park venue was built to FISA racing standards. The course specifications include 2,180 meters in length, 630 meters wide and an average of 6 meters deep. The course has separate warm-up and cool-down lanes.
